Edwin Allen High School's top middle-distance female athlete, Marleena Eubanks is back in training less than a week after receiving head injuries during training.

Last Friday Eubanks she was hit on her head by a discus.

Coach Michael Dyke says the athlete worked out in training yesterday by doing some jogging and light exercises and was in fine spirit.

According to Dyke, Eubanks will be ready to compete next week.

Eubanks is down to compete in three events, the Class One 800 metres, 1500 metres and Open 3000 metres.

But Dyke says she may miss the 3000 event.

"She could be withdrawn from that race as her absence will not make any difference on our time winning once again," said an upbeat Dyke.
